Hate to say it, but California is way over due for a big-one. The last large quake (by their standards was in the desert and felt more in Arizona and Nevada, but the last really big one was 11 years ago this January in the San Fernando Valley and the last one on the San Andreas??? -- pressure on the San Andreas must be huge by now...

Been having a lot of medium quakes; which can be good, but still. Remember Loma Prieta was actually miles and miles from San Francisco but did the most damage in SF itself.

I agree CA is way over-due....I think a 9.0 would definetly cause San Francisco to become an Island

What was the prediction from those scientists who were getting pretty good at big quake prediction? A big one in So Calif within 6 months of Sept or some such???
