Northridge and the Kobe earthquakes were on January 17th in successive years. Neither area was Muslim.
And this isn't a particularly Muslim-focused disaster. If you read some of the later threads, you'll find that 1,000 people were apparently killed in a church in India by the tsunami. God seems to have poor aim if He's sending messages.
Ihate it when God starts to flip his finger around on different parts of the planet. I am almost CERTAIN that this is because of something the United States has done. Obviously the whole gay marriage thing...perhaps Janet Jackson and her boob episode.
This is a plot by God himself...to overthrow one or more governments down that way.
This was all predicted in Revelations. God would get mad and start throwing sticks and stones because people were calling him bad names and not going to church three times a week.
God can be really mean.
This is obviously one of those times. Who knows perhaps he is pissed off because Kerry lost????? It is possible. Everyone knows that God is a Democrat (because they are the party of compassion).

You could easily be right that it's not a particularly focused message from God.
You might be wrong.
A big quake is not all that easy to focus, regardless of over all goal, I'd suspect.
And, I don't begin to know what priority God would give angelic forces affording exceptional protection during a huge, broad quake. Sometimes He seems to bother about that a lot and sometimes not.
