It's very hazardous to try and read God's mind. Sometimes He tells us quite frankly. Sometimes He gives us puzzles to ponder and ask His help in solveing, explaining.

Often, we don't have much clue as to why this building of a Christian family was utterly destroyed and a similar building next door of another Christian family left untouched.

HOWEVER, AS EINSTEIN is reported to have said--GOD DOESN'T PLAY DICE WITH THE UNIVERSE.

And, I've found He doesn't play dice with individuals or families either. Whatever He allows into the lives of believers, is intended for Good AND WILL RESULT IN GOOD IF the individuals involved will turn to God and ask His help in the midst of it.

AND I KNOW that the worst tragedies often rescue people from even worse horrors because the tragedies DO WAKE PEOPLE UP and cause them to walk closer to God.

Compared to other options, WALKING CLOSER TO GOD IS ALWAYS WORTH IT.

I just think you were glib without thinking the factors, dynamics and issues through very far or very thoroughly.

BTW Quix, when Einstein said that he was making an argument in opposition to Quantum Mechanics. It turned out he was totally wrong on that. God does play dice, or at least the way Einstein defined it he does. Of course Einstein also said:

"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings."

Not the kind of God you are talking about at all.
