THANKS. U2.
You're sooooooooooo sweet.
And your cheekiniess easily reaches Olympic proportions.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
and all your biases are soooooooooooooooooo perfect!
Rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht.
That says it all right there! lol Authentic 'christian congregations'. That is akin to saying that only christians are authentic.
Tought to believe it is upgraded to 8.9?
I wouldn't even say that.
I'd only say that SOME Christians are authentically in Love with God.
But, IF you had actually read what I've written above,
IT IS CONCEIVABLE
that you'd have noticed that I also construed it that ANYONE OF ANY ORIENTATION AT ALL COULD AUTHENTICALLY SEEK GOD and therefore should be blessed, protected etc.
But no, you had rather have a knee-JERKY reaction to the fact that it's me saying anything--form your own distortions and wholesale falsehoods about what I'd said and then rail at those. No doubt that's much more fun in a kind of sadistic, off the wall way.
Sheesh.
At least I understand a great deal more about the concept of integrity and Netizen. Thanks for that. It's always better to be forewarned for the next time.

I've known the Richter scale isn't the best way to measure earthquake's effects from personal experience. Was on Guam in a 5.4. No real damage happened as it was just one wave. No pre shocks or after shocks, just an up and a down. I thought is was an explosion due to no shaking. The duration was only a couple of seconds. I've seen 5.4 earthquakes do damage in other areas because they had some duration. The Richter scale ignores that.
I don't really care to read your posts, but thought I'd post your need for that 'christian' label of authenticity.
Fox News now reports the death toll is in the hundreds and may top 1000. They say 100,000 people are homeless, and that's just in Indonesia.
it is absolutely maddening that CBS etc. haven't broken into programming.
If I was a network news exec, at the very least, this is worthy of crawls on the bottom of the screen like what CBS did when news of Princess Diana's wreck came across the wire.
I would be very tempted to break into programming for a special report though, quite frankly. This is not small news....it is huge even though it is far away.
Quix - Actually, that's a significant part of what I said. Guess I'm not tooooo surprised you chose to fail to understand my English.
Quix - But I haven't written A SINGLE THING ABOUT THAT NOR IMPLIED ANYTHING ABOUT THAT ON THIS THREAD other than talking about God affirming authentic Christians/congregations.
Netizen - I had pointed out how I thought 'label's for one's faith was NOT what G-d cared about, you said you agreed, then proceeded to wave that label that signified that you and your labeled group are the only right and authentic ones!
I am praying deep into the night for the survivors of this terrible quake. I had epected tsunami, but not as widespread as this seems to be.
God help these people, and may we help them as well...
Wow. A picture's worth a thousand words.
I've been on top of a 7.1. I thought we were all dead. Every day's a gift.
Not quite. The Richter magnitude is the power of 10. Thus, a 7 is 10 times stronger than a 6, 100 times stronger than a 5, etc.
I believe a .8 climb in Richter magnitude makes the quake 8 times stronger than earlier believed.
Ain't it the truth. I wonder if we haven't become a little spoiled by the web? We get breaking news on the web sometimes hours ahead of the "old" media, but yet we wait for them to catch up to put the "official" stamp on it. Curious in a way. Seems we've grown accustomed to their face.

OH MY GOD!
I've never even heard of an 8.9.
The following site says the largest quakes have been 8.8-8.9, and that on average, only one 8+ earthquake occurs per year.
Prayers for all those who felt the earth move.
Take the 1994 Northridge earthquake, for example. There are people who absolutely swear the quake shook them around for at least one minute. Other people report a sharp jolt that woke them up, but only lasted for a few seconds. The seismometer records show local shaking for about 20 seconds.
