Candidate Kerry in Santa Fe on Oct. 11, 2004:

"My plan will focus on finding new sources of energy," the Massachusetts senator said in a speech that focused on energy issues. "We will make clean coal a real part of our energy future. ... We will ensure that by the year 2020, 20 percent of our electricity comes from renewable sources like wind, solar, biomass or other options."

He forgot to add, "But not in my backyard."

The hot air from Kerry's mouth could power several windmills.

Does any political party have an actual plan to end energy dependence? Can someone tell us what that plan is?

Well, as far as producing hot air and breaking wind, Kerry himself is a rich source of renewable energy and ought to be rigged to an electrical generator. He alone could produce enough energy to light a big Christmas tree, and heat a homeless shelter or two...

I'm opposed to it. I don't live near the cape, but I have sailed past that area and I think windmills would be a gigantic eyesore.

Then again, I don't pretend that we can solve our national energy problems with solar cells or windmills. We can't. At most they would add one or two percent to energy production. The only feasible alternative to fossile fuel use is nuclear power, and I doubt whether Senator Flipflop has the guts to support that.

Notice he says that he wants to wait for the Army Corps of Engineers completes its environmental report. But he doesn't say that he will take their advice. When they report he will stick his finger in the wind and listen to what the environmentalists say about the report before he commits himself. Also what his biggest donors say.

I was driving along today and a sqirrel ran out into the road, He started across the turned around then turned around again in the manner squirrels do. It reminded me if Kerry If the squirrel had gone on across the road he would have been safe but he couldnt make his mind up he was spinning around in the road when my truck went over him run over because he couldnt make up his mind, Same as John kerry in his run for President, Run over because he never copuld make up his mind.

This summer I was having lunch with a group of leftists. One of the leftist couples was from an area where wealthy Texans go to cool off in the summer. Another leftist leaned over and said, "Do the Texans eschew development at their summer places? Are the gas wells and oil wells permitted?" In other words are Texans elitists who practice NIMBY?

The western leftists said, with some surprise in their voices, "No, the gas and oil development continues around them."

The different between the Kerryist Left and the conservatie right.... The conservatives live their talk.

Let Kerry wither on the vine like Kennedy and Massachusetts.

As long as they are kept in check by others, who cares if they, walk, talk, or breathe?

His supporter will say he is clearly waiting on the information to come in until he can make his decision. I agree with them, but I differ when I say that he will take no less than 10 sides to this issue.

In other words, just like his position on whether Iraq was good or bad, "it depends on how it turns out."

"My plan will focus on finding new sources of energy,"

You could probably run a small country on the output from this gas bag.
