Protest Over 'Homeland Security U' BY JACOB GERSHMAN - Staff Reporter of the Sun December 24, 2004

Furious students and faculty members at the Borough of Manhattan Community College are demanding that the school abandon plans for a certificate program on security management. They view it as an endorsement of the Bush administration's Department of Homeland Security.

Like hundreds of other community colleges across the nation since the September 11 attacks, the two-year CUNY school in Lower Manhattan is hoping to take advantage of the surging demand for security training. The school's faculty proposed a program in May that would teach students about threats to homeland security and how to counter them.

At a school where the student government headquarters is decorated with a poster of a tortured Abu Ghraib prisoner and another that calls President Bush a "madman," some students and faculty members have reacted to the proposed program with intense suspicion.

Are these the same ones who whine about the country not being prepared for 9/11?

It is interesting to note that the neocommunists are as well entrenched in the NYC education system as they were when they were Stalinist. And. these are people who every day can glance to the west and actually see the space left by the terrorist attack. Stuff like this is absolute proof of the need for Homeland Security and the fact that there are still enemies among us.

Those damned communists. I couldn't finish reading the article because I got so mad.

WE'RE AT WAR, YOU PAWNS OF SATAN.

I would like to ask just one of these idiots what he would do to prevent another 9/11.

Those faculty members ought to be fired for sedition.

Note to self...

Next attack on a Blue area....roll over and go back to sleep.

It sounds cold...but we are NOT one Nation...we are a Nation with a bunch of SPOILED crybabies in large Urban areas that think their $hit don't stink, and that THEY are the elite ruling erudite class.

We came to NY's aid on 9/11, and we got the Jersey Girls...Norm Minetta RETAINED at DOT...and TSA MORONS who couldn't get jobs a Mickey D's in charge of Airline Security!

Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice...

zzzzz.

PS...if a Red area is hit...you better believe I'm up and in action then! Let's see NY's "charity" if say Oklahoma is hit.

Sounds like a diploma mill for aspiring authoritarians to me. Every wet-dream nerd with a psychological problem will be swelling the rolls. It's kind of hard to take someone seriously when they got pimples and their voice hasn't changed. I would require a four year (honorable) enlistment in one of our military branchs as a pre-requisite to enrollment.

there are still enemies among us.

Always have been, always will be. The enemy within has always been more of a threat than any foreign opponent. Just look at the damage they have done to this country and its institutions in the last 60 years...

The furious students and faculty seem to be pretty stupid. They could help their cause much more by taking these courses and leaking what they learn to their friends in the media and AQ.
