Someone wears pink in that household, and it doesn't seem to be Tuh-ray-zuh. ;-)
Basic bottom line, you don't hand the country over to the gigolo after W. just won the popular vote by four or five million. Worst possible case, we toss the EC today, rather than wait another four years.
Its all coincidental none of the self-appointed "honest vote" monitors have pushed for recounts in states won by Kerry. There weren't problems there? Sure it was as kosher as pigs are.
I don't think they have the authority to do so. Here is the section of the Constitution regarding the election of the President:
Article II
Section 1. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows:
Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or person holding an office of trust or profit under the United States, shall be appointed an elector.
The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves. And they shall make a list of all the persons voted for, and of the number of votes for each; which list they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be counted. The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such majority, and have an equal number of votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by ballot one of them for President; and if no person have a majority, then from the five highest on the list the said House shall in like manner choose the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by States, the representation from each state having one vote; A quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. In every case, after the choice of the President, the person having the greatest number of votes of the electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal votes, the Senate shall choose from them by ballot the Vice President.
The Congress may determine the time of choosing the electors, and the day on which they shall give their votes; which day shall be the same throughout the United States.
The legislature of the state determines how they select electors. The Congress only has authority to count them, unless there is a tie. The state of Ohio has already selected their electors, the electors have cast their ballot, and they have been counted by the Senate. There is no provision to stop the inauguration of the duly elected President.
Oh, God, I fled that area in 81 and never returned.
but it would be interesting to ponder just how to start breaking the corrupt dem machine there.
The dem/union machine is so entrenched here I don't know if it can ever be broken. I miss Rizzo!
I did forget until you reminded me..LOL! But, he was STRONG. Katz could have beat Street if the FBI bug wasn't "found by mistake" by our Police Commissioner who's son happens to work for the Phila. FBI. As soon as that happened Chaka Fatah (gag) said it was "racial" and that was that. Now, if your as old as me (50) you remember the Street brothers well.
Please keep horseface off my television set.
If I wanted to hear a talking horse I'd buy the Mr. Ed DVD boxed set, and if I wanted to hear a talking jackass, I'd watch a "Francis" movie...
Any other source for this besides DU and Fintan Dunne?
Not that I know of. I posted it as a joke so we can see once again how DUmb they are.
Thanks. Always good to get a peak through the curtain at the freak show. I was just wondering if you knew if this had been picked up by any of the Legacy Media. Maybe it will be after the Christmas weekend and if it turns out to be true.
If they keep this up, they might get what they wish for.... honest elections. What's that gonna do for the dead vote.
Guess these people didn't bother to read the Constitution --this guy (wish I remembered his name) was so smug and sure of himself -- and Alan Colmes was coming unglued telling him they had to "get over it" and get back to trying to put the Democratic party back together; to which this guy stated that Alan worked for Fox NEws so what did he expect from him -- at that Alan looked like he wanted to strangle him but informed him -- strongly -- that FOX never tells him what to think or say and this guy made all liberals look bad -- it was very entertaining. Someone who knows how should find the transcript!~
A CoOp is like CBS and DNC are a Co-Op.
Florida 2000 was incredibly successful for the Democrats. It stirred up a hatred that made a lot of people very rich. There is no doubt there are some Democrats who wanted Kerry to lose, but to lose close somewhere. There will always be a market for this stuff. Democrats are not used to losing convincingly. The Democratic coalition was vast, deep and contradictory. Now it consists of liberals and African-Americans. And the liberals are in charge. If African-Americans vote even 30% Republican, it's all over except in New England.
There are tens of thousands database and software engineers who are liberal but I haven't heard even one map out how the electronic voting machines could be hacked or the data corrupted. These are databases: they have time-stamps, transaction logs, ECC and parity checks....there's 30 different ways a professional could determine if a computer has been tampered with.
That Betty chick who defrauded liberals did post a reference to a TCP/IP log pinging a private network but she was too stupid to figure out if the machine had a WiFi adapter or not.
Which, frankly, is pretty damn stupid: if you can't figure out whether a Windows box has a network card in it, a hair dryer is pretty much the only electrical device you should be allowed to handle.
So does this mean that if Ohio could be turned to the darkside we could have a Bush/Edwards administration? And there's some hapless shmuck in Taxachusetts named "John L Kerry" on a collision course with his 15 minutes?
Gloat bump.
