At the risk of being slammed, is it the fault of the FBI if the administration in power at the time was telling them their main job was to handle things like Waco and Ruby Ridge? I don't know all the particulars so I could be very wrong here, but it seems to me the FBI in the 90s was not about going after terrorism but about going after guns, missing children, anti-abortion activists, and any right wing group the administration at the time felt was a threat. Individual FBI agents don't determine areas of interests and if they are told to expend 95 percent of their time going after a specific target it is quite likely that if a woman calls claiming her husband is a terrorist they are going to put it on the back burner. She should have told them her husband had a rebel flag and a sawed off shotgun, and they would have come running.
