The FR Canteen wants to extend it's best wishes for all who enter here.
We are especially thankful to the men and women in the US military
for the sacrifices they make to ensure our freedom.
No matter where they are stationed, at home or abroad, no matter what job they perform,
know that each and everyone of them are true heroes in our eyes.
To the FReepers who come into the FR Canteen to lurk and/or post we thank you also.
It is because of YOU that the FR Canteen is such a warm and comfortable place
for service men and women to visit and feel like they are home, even if only briefly.
And none of this would be possible without the founder of Free Republic, Jim Robinson.
So as you celebrate Christmas keep in mind who's birthday party it really is.
Know that He smiles upon each and everyone of us.
Please keep our service men and women in your thoughts and prayers.
And those in the civilian field who risk their lives to bring democracy to distant lands.
Finally be thankful for what you have.
And tell the ones you know that you love and cherish them.
Tell the neighbors and shop clerks Merry Christmas.
Lead by example and really make this a Christmas to remember!
