Your right it was 20 years ago for the evo. Sorry about the typo. You can get the same 5 year unlimited mileage warranty on a Harley. I've owned Hondas and Yamahas and I enjoyed riding them but they do not compare to the Harley as far as quality in craftsmanship and materials used in manufacturing but thats just my humble opinion. Ride safe and have fun.

I loved all my Harleys and I am glad to see them doing so well now. I remember when the Harley shops were gathering places for real Motorcyclists, before the yuppies came around. I can remember when you could park your Bike on Main Street in Daytona any time of the day during Bike Week. Ride up to Robison's and get a part and borrow the tools to put it on , and if you didnt know how there were about 20 guys hanging around that would help you. Try that at the new Daytona Harley shop. I miss the small Harley shops and their hospitality.I remember going on rides and breaking down, ride or get a tow to the Harley shop, tell them you were on vacation and broke down, You went number one on their fix list. The hotels at Daytona didnt double their prices during Bike Week. Motorcycling was great back then, even if the motorcycles werent. I always remember the guy who showed up at Daytona every year and did a big burnout on Main street , he would stop at the end of the block and get his ticket from the cops while we all booed the cop good naturedly. The Dirt drags at the Cabbage Patch where you just lined up and went drag racing.no registration. No helmet , no nothing but fun and good times. Now with hundreds of thousands swarming in to Rallies and prices doubling during Bike Week and Yuppies bringing their kids a lot of the fun is gone. As long as I am able I will be on two wheels , it doesnt matter the brand, its being in the wind that counts.
