I wonder, is that a direct screen capture from a King 5 broadcast? If it is, it obviously hasn't been photoshopped. I think the RNC attorney at the supreme court hearing also mentioned the ballot where a "voter" had written in Christine Rossi. King County decided that was a vote for Gregoire too.
Just a few provable examples like these, along with the 300 affidavits the Rossi campaign has from voters in other counties saying their ballots were wrongfully rejected, and we have a fighting chance of contesting this travesty.
Have to agree. Likewise, there is a darkened blurred area top right. This photo smells funny.
OK none of the other bubbles match up to another category to vote on. So it would be reasonable that no other bubbles would be filled in in that tight image.
It would help to show the whole ballot.
I cant see the bubbles, is it those extrememl faint ovals to the left of the candidates name? Is that the bubble you are referring to?
This is the second time I have seen you advocate committing felonies and behaving like evil DemonCraps.
THE ANSWER IS NO. We will NOT become our sworn enemy.
You should be sorrier for suggesting that we practice fraud. It's wrong and we are supposed to better than that. We need to be more vigilant, not fraudulent.
It looks questionable to me that there was any intent to vote for anyone in that race, but the picture itself, as presented, proves nothing.
That said, vote fraud should be treated with the same seriousness as treason and counterfeiting. It has the effect of undermining the country.
Yep, It took a while but I was finally able to see the OVALS next to the names...something is ROTTON with this picture.
We in ILL used this same optical ballot, and there is NO way the ovals shouldn't be properly printed like the names. The ballot or the picture have been altered in some way...
Why wouldn't the ovals show up clearly and distinctly in this picture?
If this idiot voter had put a CHECK mark to the right of her name, it would NOT be a legal vote. I can see the bubbles that are suppose to be filled in right next to the left of the name, between the opti reader black mark and the name. This was another idiot voter whose vote SHOULD have been disqualified.
Unbelievable. Who can I send money to for fighting these vote thieves in Washington?
If the rest of the ballot is filled out like this one, I'd count it too.
Is it also possible that one did not have to vote for a specific person if they voted straight party ticket?
My sentiments exactly. This is no proof at all.
You can see the empty circles -- look close, in the photo, they look like tiny round watermarks.
That's not the point (and I don't see why SoundPolitics even mentioned it).
The point is that this is not under any reasonable counting system a vote for Gregoire. If this was counted as a vote for Gregoire, that is absolute proof of deliberate cheating.
The ballot that is in use in my town...and I can only assume statewide...has a 2 piece arrow pointing to each candidates name. To vote for a candidate or issue, the voter must connect both pieces of the arrow with a felt tipped pen that is provided in each voting booth, connected by a chain to the table. The ballots are then inserted into an optical reader for tabulation. No bubbles, no chads, no abiguity...and limited machinery. Even in a recount by hand, there really isn't any way to fudge a ballot in either direction.

Not in Washington.
The quality of this picture is so very poor, it would help tremendously if it were clearer. If this was a vote that was counted for the Dem it certainly looks like out and out fraud, but we would need a very clear picture and a confirmation of some kind that this was indeed one of the newly "found" votes. Hopefully this information will be forthcoming. It could become another Dan Rather moment if verified.
