I am not making this up: a few years ago, the local paper reported that Subaru was now the most popular brand of car in Ithaca, finally surpassing Volvo.

On the way to work today, I saw a white Subaru Outback wagon with a Cornell sticker on it. Not an everyday sight in Jackson, MS.
(I can't throw stones though. I own a Subaru too.)
