"What an impediment The Constitution is to the will of the mob! Let there still be laws, for sure. But let the laws be a simple result of the votes of the mob. We've gotten a taste of this with the initiative processes in certain states, such as mine. Let us make the rule of law entirely subject to one man, one vote and NOTHING ELSE!

Nah, don't get carried away. Let Ms Finestein think we're serious about the senate though. After all, the senate's only duty is to be a check on the house, but there is no need for that if we're going to direct democracy.
