Scarborough Country Heads To Radio

Former Congressman and MSNBC personality Joe Scarborough will take his Scarborough Country to the radio, starting Feb. 7, 2005, as Westwood One and the host agree to terms on a deal that has Scarborough hosting a daily talk show set to air from 10am-1pm ET. The program will originate from WW1 studios in New York and provide listeners with a behind-the-scenes perspective on politics and current events. Scarborough will continue to host the Scarborough Country television program, which airs daily at 10pm ET on MSNBC. "As a kid who spent nights growing up in Middle America listening to stations across the country, I am excited about joining the Westwood One family," said Scarborough. "My love for radio and my ability to tell Americans what really goes on in Washington, on Wall Street and on Main Street will create a one-of-a-kind show."

Hopefully, he'll have Ron Prescott Reagan on a lot as a guest. Can never get enough insight from that guy!

There are NO viable radio outlets. Example..in the metro NYC area..the country's biggest radio market..you can't hear Dr. Laura..There's no airtime availabkle. I think all these shows are starting up because they want to get in on the ground floor for satellite radio..

I wasn't being sarcastic. You can tell Ron Prescott really learned from his father.

Needs to get his back problem straightened out and get a little more variety of sub-host than paleo-con Buchannan.

Also, his producer needs to get on the stick on guests. Every subject on earth seems to require the appearance of Rabi "whats his name" and that Catholic League guy and that woman that spun for the Passion last winter.

Can you explain your thoughts? I can't even imagaine anyone thinking this. I, too, had assumed you meant this sarcastically. The times Ron Prescott is on any MSNBC shows I have been unable to even watch!

Ron Prescott's only credentials seem to be that Ronald Reagan was his father and that he can't stand GW. Other than that he provides the insight of Phil Donahue.

Is there a way to get it online?

I have his A++ book. But I only get MSNBC when I visit my grandmother.

Gosh, if only MSNBC would put their broadcast - w/ ads - on streaming video as if it were television...
