Your children are raised with YOUR values which they got from home and church. Consequently, it doesn't make any difference how many times they confront pro-gay literature, or demonstrations, or TV programs, or whatever -- because they will reject it as inapplicable or unacceptable in their lives.
That's why I don't understand why you folks are so upset about all this. Leaving aside all the bigotry that has been revealed by some people posting messages here---and just concentrating on the LEGITIMATE concerns people expressed----what possible impact could any of this have on you or your families since you will be immune to any gay-friendly proposals and your kids will reject them too IF they assimilate YOUR values and YOUR perspective.
So, your kids won't watch TV programs or movies with gay characters. They won't read literature by gay authors. They won't vote for politicians who seek gay endorsements and financial support. They will refuse to attend events that celebrate gay men or women. They won't attend churches that welcome gays. So WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
That's why I don't understand why you folks are so upset about all this.
Hell, I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that in all my 50 years and this countries 228 years,this went from an underlying non-issue to major-issue.and I sure as hell haven't changed anything.So where do you imagine the point of contention may be?
