Statins are nasty...for me at least, and I suspect others, whose doctors discount their complaints of muscle pain and weakens as not being from the statins, because they've swallowed the drug company line that "side effects are rare"...I got to the point on one statin where I could not lift a gallon of milk with my right arm. I quit taking it, and got a new doctor, because the one I had would not listen to me about my muscle pain and weakness.

I am very sensitive to chemicals but I have been on Zetia for lowering cholesterol for about 2 years. I have had no side effects as yet. It does a good job of lowering my cholesterol too.
