How many 10s of thousands would have been looking for their relatives or would have starved to death in terror famines had Allende been allowed to take over?
I bet if there had been a Pinochet in Cambodia in the late 70s who had murdered Pol Pot and a few thousand of his followers and spared the country 3 million dead from another fit of communist insanity I bet he would be in the same situation as Pinochet is in now.
In the end, it doesn't really matter.
We weren't there.. Thank God.
