The first of an expected influx of Americans unhappy with the re-election of President George W. Bush have recived their visas to come to Canada.
The Kilbourne family of Seattle has already been approved by Immigration Canada, and now they are looking around British Columbia for a home.
Becky Kilbourne says she has mixed feelings about leaving her life in Seattle where she works as a state prosecutor.
The Kilbourne family applied more than a year ago after deciding that they could not take another terms with George W. Bush as president.
Tresney Kilbourne said they initially planned to withdraw their application if the Democrats won.
'With the Republicans in full control of everything, there hasnt been anything that caused us to think that we werent doing anything but the smart thing a year ago,' he said.
The Vancouver law firm that the Kilbournes had first contacted said it has retained more 'Bush refugees'-and it predicts that dozens of families will be moving to British Columbia once their applications are processed.

Christmas comes early to the Pacific Northwest..
"predicts that dozens of families will be moving to British Columbia..."
Is that all?
What a bunch of QUITTERS!
At least they are putting their money where their mouths are1
Bye. And don't come back.
Vancouver (North SanFrancouver) will be a good fit, no doubt. Now, if we could just get them to take a few million of their friends along...
LOL, I hope they don't come back. They will find everything they ever wanted up in Canada. After all, why keep trying to change the US into something it isn't when everything they ever wanted is already in practice up in Canada? I hope that more leftists see the light.
Buh-bye!!!
It is just one Canada province, although Vancouver is probably very attractive..
I swear, this is about the stupidest thing I ever heard. If life is so bad. If the people are so oppressed, I am glad they are not depending on people like this bitch for liberation. Where would our republic be if the founding father had decided to just leave?
This stupid cow need to spend some time in Africa, provide security for a few refugee camps like I did in the Army, then see if she can call herself a refugee with a straight face.
Just wait till they get in line at the doctor's office!
A few gone, so many more to go. It's lookin' good.
Those poor children having 2 screwups for parents...
I wish they had to turn in their US passports and become canuk citizens.
Is there any way we can promote this? What a great idea.
Did these people vote for Gregior in the Washington governor's race? I think their votes should be disqualified.
