To many professors, there's a new and deeply troubling aspect to this latest chapter in the debate over academic freedom: students trying to dictate what they don't want to be taught.

No it is students trying to dictate that they be taught fairly. I have experienced a little leftwing prof. bias here in Fairbanks, but I still was able to speak my point of view. A lot of the students agreed with me but said nothing. If I was their age I probably would have just sat there and took it too.

I got in an argument with my wife about this topic the other night. The point is that many times a class is the only thing available or is a requirement for these students.

I was purged from a class because I wanted to write a paper on Margaret Thatcher and it delayed my graduation. It still sticks in my craw to this day. It was a requirement and the only class that I could take due to my work schedule. That is tax payer money being wasted in a propaganda factory.
