When, in the history of mankind since Christ walked the earth 2000 years ago, have men and women NOT been "lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power;"??

In the larger scientific timeline of the cosmic universe, even looking at the presumed age of the earth and Mars for example, when put in relative terms, "the Last Days" could well span 5,000 to 6,000 years. So, it could come this coming Saturday, or it could come in the 23rd Century long long long after we are gone.

The fact is, one of the clearest Biblical phrases around on this is that NO MAN KNOWS WHEN THIS WILL OCCUR. A cottage industry still exists, though, when we are not to worry or theorize the time and day of the Return; only to be ready for it at all times.

Those verses merely mention that no man shall know the day nor hour. And that so far, only The Father knows the time--likely to remain so until perhaps moments beforehand.

But CHRIST EXHORTED US TO WATCH AND WAIT AND BE AWARE. He chided the religious types for being able to predict, be aware of impending weather but not being able to be aware of the signs of the times.

CLEARLY CHRIST EXPECTED AND EXPECTS US to have our lamps trimmed and extra oil ready for HIS RETURN and other end times events.

God IS interested in catching satan and his forces unaware.

HOWEVER, HE WANTS HIS KIDS AWARE, WAITING, TRUSTING, FULL OF FAITH AND READY.
