Good thought. I've felt that way too. I believe prayer plays a large part in when this will actually take place. If we sit back and do nothing and allow these things to happen, they most assuredly will.

Marvin Rosenthal was a Jewish believer who felt that we would go before the tribulation but after studying it throughly believes now that it's pre-wrath rapture. In fact, he wrote a book called The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church. He made an awful lot of Christians mad and even lost his job over it. He gave a wonderful teaching on it in our church a few years back.

Given the claims of people who have had life-after-life experiences and say that Jesus appears to them, I have often wondered if the "Second-Coming" is, in fact, a parable for the way that Christ comes to the believer at death.
However, aside from that, bear in mind that most Jews, even in Israel, are essentially secular. Just as many Jews are caught up in New Age beliefs as anyone else. Such Jews wouldn't be nearly as concerned that a "messiah" have Orthodox credentials as with whether he can give them "peace and safety."
Edgar Cayce was a false prophet. I used to be interested in him as well but no more. He was deceived and was even a Sunday School teacher.
I agree about Cayce. I, too, was interested in his viewpoints but God showed me the truth and I found Christ instead. Ever so much better, eh?

However, I do believe that there will be enough at least 'profered' or trumped up, if not real prophetic key points that Orthodox Jews will also acclaim him as Messiah.
Certainly there's rank secularism and even occultism rampant in Israel. After all, Israel WILL BE IN CAHOOTS with the AC for at least 3.5 years.
