Are Gay and Queer two different "minority ethnic groups" now?
Why stop at that? There will have to be a SA kettle at the door before I consider shopping there again. They've lost my business for at least a whole year.
That must be the origin of the "rumor" that Target is a "french company." Thanks.
My primary care physician has advised me to stop trying to understand the rhetorical didacticisms of the left.
I just finished an online opinion poll on my shopping habits, specifically about Target: Did I shop at discount retailers such as Target, Wal Mart, K-Mart? How much did I usually spend at Target in the past? Would I visit Target much more/more/the same/less/much less than in the past. (Much less). Why? (I was allowed to type a response to this instead of radio button.) I replied that it was because of their refusal to allow Salvation Army bellringers at Christmas. Other radio buttons asked about recommending their store to others (no), spending amounts ($$$), among others. When they get their results, they should see that they are losing frequent, big spenders over this. Somehow, I don't think the LGBTQ'ers will take up the slack. By the way, can't someone come up with a simple word to replace LGBTQ? Confused, perhaps?
Really? I did not know that. It sounds likely enough for the left, though.
this IS why Target boycotted the Salvation Army
Supporting them is aid and comfort to our country's enemy and the enemy of our children.
Queer

However, 72% of their donations go to GOP candidates (289K)...and are on the buyblue.org "naughty" list.
I used to put a little change in the salvation Army kettles at Christmas time. This year, I am putting a $5 bill in every time I see one. Costing me big time.......I'm blaming the ALCU and Target!
Why are companies so willing to bed over backwards to appease 1% to 3% of the population? If a gay rights organization even mentions a possible boycott, companies are scrambling to kiss their butts.
When Christian groups decided to boycott Disney, Disney yawned.
I would love to see all of the people that voted for Bush boycott Target, Disney, and any other group that has hopped on the gay agenda bandwagon. We have the ability to show these companies where the real power lies.
What lies?
Last week, on another forum, this argument was made by a poster - almost word-for-word. When I asked him to list all of the "lies", he could not.
The truth is, there are no lies regarding queerdom, adoption and marriage. There simply is NO societal benefit to legitimizing that which is immoral and disgusting, and that's the truth. They must feel that if they keep yelling loud enough, that eventually we're all going to believe them.
lj - can you ping the list? I don't have it with me.
Queer: Odd or unconventional, as in behavior; eccentric.
Ok. I promise.
Hmm. I wonder how the author of this piece would react if I suggested everyone only purchase from straight-owned merchants... or only hire heterosexual people to help at work or home. How long before I was called hateful, bigoted, a homophobe?
You know what? Let 'em call me names. Boycott Target.
'For an alternative perspective, turn the channel -- listen to and support your local public broadcasting stations. Watch your Public Broadcasting station for the news. Listen to National Public Radio and Air America Radio and read newspapers and magazines like Rainbow Law's Un-Censored E-Zine.'
Who's with me on a movement to de-fund the Corporation for Public Broadcasting as well as the National Public Radio? Cutoff the government support. Let them exist on donations alone. I'd give them 2, maybe 3 weeks.
Don't worry, Sesame Street will knock them dead on the commercial airwaves.
I nor my family will shop at Target. Just like we avoid all French and German products if we know what they are manufactured in those countries.
Q = Queer
I assume to cover any perversion not singled out in the previous 4!
Yikes!
TARGET is off our list now...
This story just keeps getting better and better.
Better yet, you might want to buy all your products online, directly from the manufacturer. Oops, hope you're not using AOL-- or any ISP by Time-Warner. God forbid some delivery guy desecrate your driveways (poured strictly by documented workers) by pulling up in his Honda, listening to a Sony headset...
Sheesh.
