We need a fresh poll in FReeperville with some real solid questions...See how many RINOOBLS/RATOBLS are really here at FR, defying all that is American and Conservative in the name of the $...
...we only get one spine...
Way too many for my taste. But since they do keep the border threads bumped up so that many more readers will see them, I welcome their contribution. Their "arguments" (sic) are so laughable, that they actually drive undecideds our way.
Mr. Bush has for months tried to drum up congressional support for his plan to give illegal aliens "temporary worker cards" that would allow them to legally hold jobs that U.S. businesses say they can't fill with American labor.
>>>
Sheesh...
Guest worker = amnistia = amnesty.
We won't be fooled again.
At his final formal press conference of the year, Mr. Bush said immigrants are pouring over the U.S. border, mostly from Mexico, to "put food on the table" and that "it makes sense for us to recognize that reality.
>>>
NO MAS! I guess we've thrown in the towel. Oh, well...the FTAA will be up (our butts) for review soon./s
...what, 8 million+? and counting...
"We want our Border Patrol agents chasing, you know, crooks and thieves and drug-runners and terrorists, not good-hearted people who are coming here to work," Mr. Bush said. "And therefore, it makes sense to allow the good-hearted people who are coming here to do jobs that Americans won't do a legal way to do so. And providing that legal avenue, it takes the pressure off the border."
>>>
Who coined the term "the soft bigotry of low expectations"?
Wal-Mart gets most of their products from China. That has nothing to do with illegal immigration.
A question, do you think that American parents want to have their children to have vegetable picker or janitor as a life long career?
It doesn't matter what American parents want their children to do for a living. When their children are old enough to enter the workforce, they'll decide for themselves what they're going to do for a living.
A couple of my neighbor's kids work as busboys (they're white), and I know a woman who works as a motel maid (she's white). Most of my neighbors, black, white and Latino alike, do their own gardening.
Mr. Bush said yesterday that as governor of Texas in the 1990s, he "was right there on the front lines of border politics" and understands the issue well.
"I know what it means to have mothers and fathers come to my state and across the border of my state to work," Mr. Bush said. "Family values do not stop at the Rio Grande River. [That] is what I used to tell the people of my state."
>>>
The family values apparently don't stop someone from sneaking in, criminally, and invading our nation. Welcome to the United States of the Americas! Only Nixon could go to bed with redchina and only Bush could get in bed with the Mexicans...unbelievable. Globalists will be the death of us.
Mr. Stein also asked how the government intended to pay "for the education of the children, the health care for the families," and other services that foreign workers and their families require.
>>>
I vote Dane and bayourod pick up yours and my shares, OK?!
It's like we are in the Twilight Zone...
>>>
Mr. Bush said he wants to change an immigration system that is "not working" and is "not compassionate."
<<<
Not compassionate for whom Mr. President?
>>>
"And as a result, the country is less secure than it could be with a rational system," Mr. Bush said.
<<<
The nation is less secure for one reason Mr. President. During this time of war, we voted for you in the hopes that you would have the will to protect our Homeland at our borders...being as WE'RE AT WAR AND ALL!
"You conceded in this morning's press conference, the vetting process and background checks of Cabinet appointees failed to uncover problems with your Homeland Security nominee. Can you assure the American public that the vetting process and background checks on the millions of illegal aliens who will be applying for legal residence under your program will receive a more comprehensive investigation of their backgrounds?" he asked.
>>>
That one's gonna leave a mark...
"Don't worry, when immigration leftists like Ted Kennedy and George Bush have finished turning the USA into northern Brazil (OK - Brazil with more Islam), your kids and grandkids can surely find another USA to live in. I'm sure there's another one around here somewhere."
Good sarcasm there, dagnabbit! Unfortunately most of the Brainless Wonders living in this country will probably still be saying "we are a nation of immigrants. We welcome you here!" while the invading hordes are slitting their throats. Idiots!
"You're unsympathetic to millions of jobless Americans who can't find work. They're worried. Their kids, if they've dared to have any at all, are not getting a decent Christmas this year."
Dear Lord. So an unemployment rate hovering around 5.4% now equates to a national poverty crisis? Get real - you've gotten to the point that you're spewing falsified Democrat talking points to support your agenda. I remember the 80's when 8% unemployment was considered "full employment".
I'm not liking what's going on with immigration either, but if that's the wedge that makes people start drinking the Democrat kool-aid, I think I'll ignore it and stay in the world of the sane.

>>>
Understands it well ... he needs to explain how Mexico is going to keep our enemies from coming in as Criminal Invaders, since our own POTUS has no clue apparently.
