Fylingdales? Isn't that where the early warning radar domes that are supposed to see Russia's ICBMs headed our way are?

This was just so different. It is incised with straight lines that criss-cross the surface forming a strange pattern." It's called a cutting board. Look in your kitchen. "Slice, dice, make julienne fries, but you have to something to cut on!"

You're all wrong. It's a map that a gang of thieves used for planning a heist.
"OK, now pay attention. Here's the hut where we steal the loot. We hop into our getaway cart here and hightail it down these paths to our hideout cave down here."

Is it just me or does ...
"The stone will be re-buried where it was found and the site will be recorded using satellite mapping techniques. Mr Redfern added: "Where else should it go? We have recorded its image for research purposes. Why should it go to, say, the British Museum? It was found here, so should remain here." ...sound like generations of kids are expected to get all excited over a photograph that they MIGHT get to see rather than being able to see the real thing and perhaps decide to become archaeologists?
This thing came from a moor in the UK, it ain't like they were stealing history from Egypt or Greece!
