Patton was made to apologize for slapping a GI. Rumsfeld tells troops asking for armor 'tough sh-t' and there must have been too many deaths for him to take the time to sign his name. Bush took the time. Troops deserve respect. Rumsfeld should go back, call the troops together and apologize as Patton did before he was allowed to continue in command.

Rumsfeld doesn't need to apologize to me. I think he's the best defense secretary that we've ever had. Are you a "troop"? I am active duty Air Force right now, and I just got back from the desert. You don't speak for me.
I suggest you actually read the transcript of the meeting that Rummy had with the troops. He didn't tell them anything except the truth. Obviously a lot of people cannot handle that! Can you?
