It's gotten a bit ugly in earlier posts, but the bottom line is that one legal system is enough for this country, and, if the Canadians don't mind me saying: One legal system is enough for Canada also.

This kind of reminds me of the people wanting to change the Constitution so foreigner-born people can run for President. To which I say: We have a good 250,000,000 American-born people here, surely we can find one who is quailified.

Likewise, one legal system is enough for me.

If Canada was to be the judge, they would not have given the Muslims their own set of laws to follow.

Hey now. For us Alaskans your border scenarion poses a not-to-happy prospect. Canada is our only land link to the "lower 48" you know.

I understand, and you have my deepest regard and sympathies...but unless we can annex the Western Provinces, you are kinda hung out to dry in a land-access aspect...rest assured we will be providing all sorts of aid (a-la Berlin Airlift if necessary), because you will be providing OIL! That's why we NEED to secure those borders!

This sharia stuff is especially scary to us here in Alaska. Here's my two cents. Canada's population is maybe a tenth of the US. Hence Islamics carry a lot more clout than they do in the US. The incremental process in socialist Canadian politics , i.e., Islamic subversion, has now begun.
