Good idea - bad implementation. How about privatizing the program so seniors will really be able to shop for affordable prescription drugs without busting the federal budget? Now there's an idea worth pursuing.

The trouble with "privatization" is that the scoundrels never actually privatize anything.
Invariably, they merely leave the government program intact and allow their politically-connected cronies to get in on the scam.

No, what we REALLY need to do is allow 2% of the tax money that would be used for those drugs to instead be put into private accounts to be used for drugs. See, Bush's secret plan is to start an ownership society...blah blah blah.../sarcasm
