My biggest theory regarding the "flypaper" aspect of the Iraq action...is that our guys are, in fact, MURDERING entire busloads of insurgent "volunteers" as they flow into Iraq...and it is in all of our interests to just keep pretending that we are "losing" so we can get more of them until the arab world starts to break under the pressure of taking the kind of intensive losses that nobody is writing about. --- Maybe we allowed the Haifa Street action to happen today because the investigation of this event will open up a whole new thread and lots more clues for our intel guys go Phoenix more people off to the 72 virgins in the sky.

Having said that, my biggest theory regarding the "flypaper" aspect of the Iraq action...is that our guys are, in fact, murdering entire busloads of insurgent "volunteers" as they flow into Iraq
the word murder implies that it is wrong to do so. We are not murdering those that voluteer to come and fight us, we are killing them. there is a difference.

Murdering entire busloads of insurgent "volunteers"? If they are insurgents, it would not be murder.
It is in all of our interests to just keep pretending that we are "losing"? The only people pretending are our esteemed news media.

I agree.
Maybe we are misunderstanding what he is saying.
At this point, I can't tell.

If this was happening, the lib media would be bitching about it.
But, there are a number of non-Iraqi sorts running around stirring up trouble and getting killed.
I dunno.

Why am I getting the idea, even while reading Freerepublic, that the US military and CIA are acting much more like wusses than they ever thought of being during the Vietnam War? Perhaps you should volunteer and show them how it's done.

We are actually doing them a favor and sending them to their reward of 72 Virginians.

Well, I'm not going to say this guy is a troll now.
He asked a question about why the lack of a program to kill such trash, and my response would be:
Why do you suppose there is none?
We can't be everywhere at the same time.
And the flypaper analogy is interesting - Kind of like in Falluja, where we pretty much announced our intentions and they came running into that roach motel.
But this comment; "is that our guys are, in fact, murdering entire busloads of insurgent "volunteers" as they flow into Iraq."
is sure to inflame passions here.
We do not "murder" insurgents, we kill them before they murder us.

One does not "murder" busloads of terrorists.
One "executes" busloads of terrorists.
And we don't need a squad of Marines to do the job, we can use a fuel air bomb, leaves less of a mess.

It sounds like you guys are eliminating a threat. Not only that, you're eliminating a threat that would otherwise be a threat on our own streets in many cases. To call it murder also suggests that these so called "insurgents" have some semblance of humanity. Humans don't take pleasure in sawing someones head off or ripping someone to pieces.

Repealing this Executive Order would be a good first step.
EO 12333 2.11
Executive Order 12333--United States intelligence activities
2.11 Prohibition on Assassination. No person employed by or acting on behalf of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination.
