One solution would be to simply translate Mexican immigration law into English, adopt it as U.S. law, and apply it to illegal aliens in America.

A VERY good suggestion - One of the more practical and commonsense approaches I have yet heard!

While we're at it we should apply the SAME import duty structure on all products from Mexico and elsewhere that these users apply to our exports to their countries. I assure you that would also level the trade playing field as your suggestion would level it for immigration.

Employers and/or facilitators of illegal aliens should be sentenced to bunk with the illegal alien(s) for five (5) years at hard labor in a federal prison where there are no "early-out" paroles and lose all voting and passport rights for life with no appeal allowed.

Second offense is fifteen (15) years.
