I'm afraid you are wrong. George Bush has expanded the domestic size of government faster than any president since LBJ. He signed (using strong arm methods to get congressional support) the massive boondogle known as Medicare "reform." To call such a man "right wing," does not correspond with the facts.
George Bush has expanded the domestic size of government faster than any president since LBJ.
Is that for real?
And he's done it with warp speed, Cap'n... Some Americans don't even realize how far left he has veered.
I agree with your notion that there were leftist tendencies by the government domestically which brought Bush more votes from people who otherwise may have been contemplating on voting for Kerry in the elections. I personally think that as history progresses, at least domestically, every new government of the US will move further left.
On the other hand, I don't think George Bush got any of his votes from liberals, and he didn't get any of his votes from people who were afraid that they had to pick Bush because Kerry wasn't going to increase the size of government fast enough for them.
So there probably are 51% conservative people out there. No point moving to the left. Arnold just wants to do this because he knows he's not popular with conservatives.
