I have a little Taurus .22 for just that purpose. My daddy says, "I hate like h#!! to shoot a man and then stand there and argue with him."

True story:
My husband is first aid officer for the manufacturing company he works for. One morning one of the fellows from the back of the plant showed up with a .22 short planted between his eyes under the skin, just like a plum in a pudding. Seems his common law wife had gotten mad at him the night before and shot him.
Hubby referred him on to the industrial clinic, where they cut the bullet out and gave the guy a bandaid and two Advil. After work that day, he went home and threw the common law wife out on the street.
Postscript: about six months later the lady in question, who had taken up with somebody else, got mad enough to attack him. Only this time, she used a kitchen knife, and the guy was stone dead and she was in jail.
Her ex-common-law husband's only comment: "She was a damn mean woman, but she sure could cook."
. . . !?! as they say in the chess books.

And bought an outboard Evinrude,
Other than that, we ain't nothin' but good ol' boys."

Very good article. No country is truley free unless its people can be armed.
That handgun is designed to kill people. That's about it. Other than acting as a paperweight in the "in box," there's not much else it can do effectively.
Going out shooting either at the shooting range or at an abdandoned gravel pit is always fun. I do it as much as I can get out.

I love the IMI Desert Eagle. I have a .44 magnum version. Its practically a hand-cannon. Nothing spells FIREPOWER like this weapon.
To: GrandEagle
I am also setting money aside for the .50 AE version.

Carry - it's the freaking law. See your 2nd Amendment folks.
It is your God-given RIGHT.

Put another way, as the ratio of the armed and law-abiding rises as against the lawless with criminal intent, we begin to win the war against the latter. Well put!!!!

Good ol' Moe & Joe . . .
Well, Ive been kicked out of might near every bar in town
Ive been locked up in jail for going 120 through town
Ive been shot at and cut with a knife, for messing around with another mans wife
But other than that we aint nothing but good old boys I threw my boss out the window and got fired from my last job
Hot-wired a city truck and turned it over in the mayors yard
I beat my brother-in-law half to death, lost 20 bucks on a football bet
But other than that we aint nothing but good old boys
Just good old boys were all the same aint no way well ever change
Mean no harm by the things we do, or the trouble that we got into
Other than a wild hair once in a while, we cant help it if its just our style
And good old boys is all well ever be
I got an alimony payment thats six weeks over due
Got caught with a truckload of out of state booze
I hocked my wifes diamond rings last June, bought me an outboard Evanrude
But other than that we aint nothing but good old boys
Just good old boys were all the same aint no way well ever change
Mean no harm by the things we do, or the trouble that we got into
Other than a wild hair once in a while, we cant help it if its just our style

Sir, a gravel pit I went to is where I shot my first 4570 lever gun. The man that brought his family there that day handed me two cartridges. After seeing his little girl. She was about 12. Skinny as a rail and a tiny little thing. She ripped off a few rounds and then handed back the rifle to her pop. Shooting that rifle was the change for me in ignoring recoil.
Best dam rifle I have ever brought - Marlin 1895GS

Awesome. I have a AR-15 and a SKS. I want to buy an M-1903 Springfield if I ever get the money to afford one.

"Police are spread thin in most communities..."
Nothing could be more true. I used to live in a small Colorado town of 2500 people. It had 5 policemen. All of them capable and conscientious, I might add. Which 5 of those 2500 citizens will get protection, and which 2495 will not? If you are one of the latter, it would be irresponsible of you not to provide for your family's protection.

IMI Desert Eagle
Although I've never owned one, I've heard it is a fine weapon! I do like to .44 mag. I've got a S&W 629 that I love to shoot. It's a bit hefty for concealment though.
With regard to the .50, NOTHING says "You've picked the wrong guy" like one of those! A guy at the range where I practice has one. He let me shoot LAUNCH a few from it. It was FUN!
Regards,
GE

Absolutely! It would be a serious mistake for the bad guy to try and get into out home. We are heavily armed and both my wife and myself practice regularly. The perps better hope I get after them instead of my wife, I do miss from time to time.

Thanks. I have tried and tried to find that tune.

Got a chance to shoot the DEagle .50 at Gunstock this year. The only gun, and I mean ONLY, with a grip big enough to fit my over-sized hands. It'd be an open carry gun for me, should such a thing come back in style. Low slung hip holster strapped to the leg.
Yeah.... over kill. No, I don't have penis issues. I'm just a big, beefy guy and I like big beefy guy toys.
