TWO LIBERL LOONS STILL AT IT. They can't stop bashing Pres Bush

No. Democrats survived *losing* the Civil War, a singularly unique feat in global political history. You certainly don't see any overt Nazi Party members in Germany winning free elections, for instance.

It would take the liberal news media completely and universally turning on the entire Democratic Party to kill it.

Won't happen. Not in this generation, anyway.

But that's actually a good thing. Democrats haven't changed their "progressive" ideas since 1960 (when they finally ended the *last* smart thing that they have managed to do: go along with popular Eisenhower rather than fight him uselessly for his 8 years). We've heard all that they've had to offer.

So we're being opposed by a Neanderthal political party right now. They haven't adapted to the changing world, and that works to our advantage.

Liberals would actually be more of a threat to us if they killed off their old Democratic Party because it would jetison 4 decades of their baggage.

So enjoy the Democratic Party's staying power. The longer it stays around without an internal revolution, the longer we Republicans can win. Each year they grow weaker. Each year we grow stronger. We've now matched them in national voter registrations (at 37% each). By 2006, we'll actually have more Americans registered to vote as Republicans than they have as Democrats.

Let them flounder thusly. 'Tis a thing of beauty (for us)!

As much as I sometimes think I know about American politics, I end up learning just how little I really know. You would think when Bush bashing failed in 2002, the Communists would have drifted back to center. Or when it subsequently failed MISERABLY in 2004, I was sure we'd see a drift back to center. And we did hear a few calls for just that.

Those calls lasted about two weeks.

One thing I am sure of: Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter.
