Don't we have female cops all over the United States?
Aren't they in the line of fire all the time like the men?
Aren't they expected to handle tough situations with the same training and know how the men have?
We have the ability to provide separate facilities in the field.
Even away from base, there shouldn't be a problem.
Having to urinate is a natural function and any women who would freak out, or any men who would act weird are too immature to be in the Army anyway.
Same thing with nudity. I learned at a very young age not to have a concern over nudity. Learned from a young girl, at church camp. God always works in mysterious ways.
soldiers who say they can't resist sexual urges if exposed to nudity or quartering with females is just making excuses.
The mind is stronger than the temptation. Only if you tell it you will not resist, do you then rationalize that your genitals outwitted your conscious mind.
There is no reason in the world that women do not fight on the front lines, in equal numbers. I chose DO NOT, instead of CAN NOT, because There is no reason they can not.
In Israel, for example, it is my understanding that women are on the front lines in every branch of the military. Swat, Special Forces, Hostage Teams, etc.
Israel also, IIRC, has a working air travel anti-terrorism tactic. It is one worth considering. During 9-11 Some of the passengers on the jet that crashed in a field chose that option.
Citizens are considered part of the defense of the country, and know which 'side' they are on. If SWAT teams come to an airliner with terrorists holding hostages and making demands, the SWAT team responds with something that corresponds to 'up yours'.
They make their best plans and Take out the terrorists. If citizens are killed, they sacrificed their life for the defense of their country.
Because the only way to deal with that, and what we have gone through, enforce the law, refuse to cooperate, then shoot the guys with bombs or guns. Giving in to demands never discourages further terrorism. It's a simple thing.
I am fed up with PC. Standards have already had to be lowered to allow women in- the idea of them being in the infantry is frightening.
There are few enough places in our society where men can be left alone by us- a fighting unit where lives are on the line is not the place for a social experiment. Enough is enough.

Don't get me wrong. I love women. But just based upon their biology, there has to be a more logical, logistical role for women in the military. The TV show, JAG is a good example. Let these smart women work on logistics, computers, flight assignments... and keep near the Ladies Room. Just in case there is a leakage issue.

I worked with a AF lifer who was a mechanic for on the WartHog. She was one tough daughter-of-a-bitch (she was cute too). She knew more about that A-10 than the pilots. Lots of fun talking to Sgt. Baker. She was in Gulf War I in 1991.

Know any male cops? Ask them. My experience is that their answer will may well be no.
Few nights ago on program called "Cops" on Court TV, two female cops were in a bar trying to handcuff a male , they could'nt do it. A civilian had to help them. So much for female cops and Army grunts.
Yes we do. And many have been shot with their own services weapons by bad guys that simply overpowered them.
If you were on patrol in the senseless murder district, who would you want for a partner, a 6'2 220 pound man, or a 5'9" 150 female?

If they are all so bad a$$ed in Israel, why aren't they on the real front lines in Iraq, helping our guys, that could use the help?
You "logic" avoids the facts. Even the above post had the instance of the male who was assigned a female gunner and he had to carry her ammo and tripod. Military field operations require fit young men to do extraordinary things on a regular basis. Having people present who cannot do those things impairs everyone else and puts a strain on everyone else who have to carry those less capable. It is a shamne that people let other considerations blind them to the facts.
