It took the Dutch a long time to understand the threat at hand...but after the murder...they understood the threat. My guess is that the Islamic radicals are surpised how quickly the Dutch have acted and the various measures put into effect...and simply moved onto Germany or Denmark. Most European countries are putting some measures into place about the running of the mosques. We can face this fact...if you require a local in-country guy to run the mosque...then the Saudi-radicals are shut out and things go back to normal. Its the Saudi-funded radical mullahs that caused this problem, and we can ensure they all stay in Saudi Arabia and destroy that country instead.
while I'm pleased to see the Dutch move on this threat quickly, I'm also worried. It simply means the terrorists will move to easier targets, including us in the USA. We are at least one major attack away from firm measures to stop this kind of activity on our shores.
It's like having the flu, you know that a good round of vomiting to get rid of the corruption and will start one on the road to recovery, but we all put off that inevitable trip to the john. I'm resisting the idea of another attck, but I also know we're going to have to have one before we get serious.
