If the sheriff used the Amber Alert for a "fetus" and not a child - shouldn't the NOW gals be upset that he gave equal rights to a fetus.

Since they oppose Connor's Law - which protects fetus from violent attacks - I assume that they will also be upset the Amber Alert was used on this "fetus".

1) If you consider it a "fetus", then do you believe the poice should not have tried to save it
2) If you believe it was a baby outside the womb, why wasn't it a baby INSIDE the womb?
3) Would you defend the accused since they did not kidnap a "baby" (in your definition)

It was a fetus (and yes, a baby, too) up until the the time it was removed from the mom's belly. At that time, it became just a baby (no longer a fetus). The Amber Alert surely would have been for a "baby that had just been stolen from the womb". It's really a gray area reeking of semantics, and I wish everyone would just get over it already.

Look up the definition of fetus. Until it was removed from the body, it was technically a fetus. If the mom wanted to refer to it as a baby, fine. I agree with her. It was a baby, But it was also a fetus. Get it?

I like the headline that was used in the thread but of course your point is correct. Best format would be to use the actual headline as you suggest and then add comments in parentheses.

If this crime had to happen at all, it is better it happened in MO, where I think they still have a death penalty. Unlike Kansas where now the most savage vicious killers get their lives spared. Too bad their victims didn't get such appeals.
