This is silly. I work for one of the contractors that is cleaning up the joint.
When our company took over the contract, we had some public Q&A meetings. A bunch of enviroweenies showed up. It was announced that we would be cleaning up Rocky Flats a couple of years sooner than what the gov't recommended (basically saving thousands of taxpayer dollars). Environweenie then asked if we *really* needed to clean up the site that fast.
These people have made livings off of protesting this site - their actions don't really benefit anyone. They just whine and get paid for it.
I lived next to Rocky Flats 99-83. I saw the biggest mule deer ever there. Sign me up!
