Nope. Suicide bombing was pioneered by the Japanese in WWII, almost all of whom were members of the Shinto religion. Those suicide bombers however were not quite terrorists as they chose to wear a uniform, carry arms openly, and attack only military targets. Today I think they would be called terrorists though as they were intending to cause terror in their intended targets -- just as we call the suicide bombing of the USS Cole a "suicide bombing" and consider it an act of terrorism.
