Yup, that's what worries me too. But IMO, curtailing civil liberities not only flies in the face of American values, but it may only serve as an excuse for increased fundamentalism. We must win hearts and minds to win this war!

I guess the bottom line for me is I'm not willing to believe that the Muslims are a just an unfortunate group of people that are constantly being spin upon. There are a lot of people, starting with the Jews in Europe that were spit on, but they didn't start civil wars and mass killings, no, they took it and fought back within the system, and excelled. The same is true with virtually every immigrant group in this country.
Now it's the Muslims turn to win our hearts and minds. And they can begin by opening themselves up to review.
