I read somewhere that the Boers (South Africa) have about 10% "non-European" genetic material. Its not hard to figure out where that material came from, given where they have lived for the past 400 years. Just goes to show that nuts raving racial purity, be they Hitler or Calipso Luoie, are nuts.

Not sure why my post came out blank but the original settlers mixed a lot with the Khoi-Sans.

I read an interesting article several years ago about the earliest White people in South Africa.

There was a surprisingly large number of Portuguese sailors shipwrecked around the Cape. These sailors were adopted into the Hottentot tribes. Eventually these tribes became so White that they began to look as much like Europeans as Africans. I think their descendants are known as "Cape Coloreds"

Also am sure it said the Boers were pretty much pure Dutch except they mixed with French Huegenots.
