OK, so we've had like 20 threads on this sickness where we rehash *HOW* we are getting screwed. Fine. Now what. Lets use the rest of this thread to discuss how we, the outraged voters and Republicans who have seen our successful campaign stolen by lying and cheating Democratic operatives in King County react.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT ???!!!???

1. Try harder next time. This has been widely suggested and is kinda how we got Daschle. Cantwell is not a juicy a target, but it is better than nothing.

Still this seems wholely inadequate. We need to do that SURE, but we need to do more, much more, visible soon to show our CONTEMPT, ANGER and UNWILLINGNESS.

2. Giant Rally in the capitol. Everyone in Orange. Stop the Theft! Return the real winner!!

Problem: can we get people to turn out, esp. in the middle of the holidays when this thing is going to be decided? 3. Citizen Initative: hit back! Hurt them bad. Defund something they care about. Latte tax? End all public transportation projects?

4. Going away present from the R's in House. Bill requireing tax increases to get a 7/8 majority in the house. Bill making that bill repealable by a 7/8 majority.

5. ?? Other ideas?

Umm, we got Dashle by beating up on his liberalism in a very conservative state. I don't see how beating up on Cantwell's liberalism is going to defeat her in a liberal state.

If Rossi loses, which still isn't sure at all, I'd honestly rather him run for Governor again in 4 years. He won (even if he 'loses') by attacking Olympia and downplaying social issues, which Washington is very liberal on. He wouldn't be able to do either easily in a race against Cantwell.

Also, the R's don't control the State House, they control the State Senate till the new Senators are sworn in. And a special session would have to be called, and the Dem House would have to pass it, and Gary Locke would have to sign it.

i.e. not even remotely possible.

If Rossi loses then don't we get to have a recount or two or three?

The legislature is not in session.
