No, I am not forcing or even advocating that the IDF to do anything. A simple suggestion is a simple suggestion. The IDF should do whatever it takes to defend their country. If they do not have the resources, the need, or the desire to carry extra equipment, fine. I wholeheartedly support their right to do whatever it takes to keep Israel secure, regardless of the MSM distored view of the IDF's actions.

So? what was in the backpack? How did killing her while she was going away, without the backpack, add to the security of the situation?

I support Israel's right to defend itself and defeat terrorist threats, but I don't see how this incident helped at all. It hurt.

Actually, makes my point. Cops are trained to use deadly force, but only when warranted. Nobody was pointing a gun at any IDF soldier here, ie, no imminent threat. If a cop killed a kid who had a bulge in his pocket that looked like a gun, but turned out to be a banana, he'd be up on homocide charges.

And if cops killed unarmed children by mistake, you dont think there would be riots and marchers demanding 'justice'? Been there, done that. do you recall cleveland?

Then, indeed is WAS a mistake for the IDF soldier to do this, since it harms IDF's image with no benefit to their security. This killing was, at a minimum, an unfortunate incident. If you can't see the tragedy of the child's death, at least consider how unhelpful it is to pacify and secure the region with such incidents fuelling anger and distrust.

maybe. The Brits used them widely in Northern Ireland to handle riots and ambiguous cases where proportionate non-lethal methods were needed.

Sure she was in the wrong place, but she was also an unarmed 11-year-old girl killed by a soldier who was not threatened by her

There is a war on. She should have been shot for crossing the military zone long before she got close enough to throw something at the soldiers. Like I said, and you still cannot comprehend, if you pull a squirt gun on any cop and yell freeze, you will most likely get shot. It is called death by cop. When someone runs at a military outpost, through no mans land, and tosses a satchel at the marines in a war zone, if they do not get shot, the soldiers are not trained properly.

This whole situation happened because at that little girls school they train her to die as a "martyr". From birth she was raised to be nothing more than cannon fodder. I am sure she was a bright and intellegent little girl, smart enough to be a leader, and she took things in her own hand. She figured out how to die. Wouldn't it have been nicer to train her how to live?

That is why the Arabs in Palestine do not have a State, and in hundreds of years of living here will never have a State, even if it is handed to them on a silver platter. They kill their best and brightest for foolish things, people are just chattle to them. Things to be used and thrown away.

I repeat, you are foolish, and do not understand very much about the situation. It is best under those circumstance to not make comments until you do your homework. You want to be outraged, be outraged that the schoolbooks that train these children to die needlessly, are paid for by your tax dollars.
