I knew he ran as a Libertarian. That is part of the point. We need someone with serious third party type ideology running on the Republican ticket. Then maybe we could actually do something silly like cutting spending.
I consider Paul a potential Libertarian/Conservative fusion candidate. He is a right libertarian, not a moral relativistic left libertarian. He is pro-life, anti-imigration, and anti-sovereignty sacrificing trade deals while still being staunchly free-trade.

We need someone with serious third party type ideology running on the Republican ticket. Paul's run for Prez on the Libertarian ticket means he's not going anywhere in the Republican party. He is a Libertarian, after all, not just in ideology but party affiliation (despite him running on the Republican ticket for Congress).
But hey, let him try--2008 should be a free-for-all.
