I like Brit Hume. No numbers for his show?

The ratings are apparently for prime time. Brit is on at 6 PM eastern - which is not prime time. If Brit was on at 7 or later, he'd clean all of their clocks.

I think Larry King participated in the birthday festivities for President Bush 41 when he turned 80 this year (or was it last year), and at the time, they made it sound like he was a pretty close friend of the Bush family. He certainly doesn't seem like a conservative, but he seems to be pretty equal as far as his politics are concerned.

I'm not surprised. I suspect the election provided a huge spike.

I remember reading that Larry King's ratings were actually higher when Nancy hosted than when Larry hosted his own show!

Hume & Cavuto are not considered prime time and afternoon shows are expected to have lower ratings. But you're right. When it comes to providing useful information both blow away everyone else.

My humble opinion, however much in the minority I am here, Larry King is the best interviewer of all time. Some of the best interviews of President Bush 41 and W 43 were by Larry King.

I know Larry is on the liberal side of center, probably on most issues. As I go forward training for the opportunity to make the USA track team for the Beijing summer games in 2008 one of the icing on the cake perks of doing well is the chance to be interviewed by someone like Larry King.

I agree with you; after the election, I'm totally burned out for now.

There's 2 on FR that I know who watches him. They keep posting idiotic vanities on "he said this" or "he did that".

Hannity evokes jealousy in a lot of people , I see it all the time on here.

ROFL. I noticed that too.

I watch him when I hear that a guest I'm interesting in hearing from is scheduled to appear. Like Donald Trump for example. It's very rare for me to tune in because Hannity & Colmes is in the same timeslot.

Or the replay of 'The Apprentice" on CNBC Friday nights. Love that show, teaching the younger people in our country about free market capitalism. I'm sure that irks many of the leftist socialist college professors in this country.

People don't want news or politics anymore, they just want to get on with their lives and I agree.

Yep. That's what I was eluding too in post 4. I'm a self-professed political junkie. I'm burned out, so I'm discovering different stuff on TV aside from the usual talking head programs. I suspect Greta's ratings will go back down, now that SP has been convicted of murder and will serve the DP. Greta has never been that high in the ratings.

I never really got into the reality TV genre, but, that's just me.

Don't doubt she brought in higher numbers if the topic was Peterson and she was able to get a word in without Larry rudely interrupting her. However, her interview with Tammy Faye and some actress recently had me clicking the remote. Don't misunderstand. I'm a fan and enjoy watching NG when she discusses the law.

It's been a LONG 12 years for us fighting against Clinton and for Bush; now I just hope that the "trend" toward distancing themselves from Bush and his agenda that I think I am seeing among the GOPers doesn't continue.

I think MSNBC could easily move at least the Matthews slot ahead of CNN....if they replaced Matthews with someone good, anyone.

People don't want news or politics anymore, they just want to get on with their lives and I agree. I barely watch Hannity anymore.

People, most of them, want their "news" asentertainment sprinkled with news and comments. RUSh has a winning recipe that anyone with brains would want to follow.

Hannity worked hard to help get Bush re-elected.

Yeah, yeah. We know; Koolaid runs in his veins.

But he runs a boring, repetitive shoutfest. Dat's the fact, Jack.

Your post #72 hit the nail on the head exactly.

As a news junkie, it has been a relief since the election to be able to find other pursuits which are typically far less stressful :-)
