Yes, but with winning comes happiness.

Whenever a little problem crops up, like my Pfizer stock just took a beating, I smile and think, GW is pres. and I am happy.

God forbid I may even torture myself with Trading Spaces. LOL

I've never watched that show PERIOD, but, that may soon change if there's nothing worth the while on TV. Course, there's always TV Land. LOL

I can't stand O'Reilly. I don't know how anyone can listen to him for an hour.

I haven't heard anything about CNN signing NG.
I'll tell you this: if NG sticks her nose into
politics, she'll lose a whole lot of her fans as
soon as they get wind of her Bush hating and GOP
bashing.

I'll not watch her discuss politics.

You're exactly right!
I am burned out on political shows.
Can't stand Alan Colmes and think he's
tone has gotten nasty since POTUS's reelection.
He's interrupting both Sean and guests, and he's
been rude about it too. :)

I bet I haven't sat thru an entire hour
of Hannity and Homely for over a year. I
sometimes watch the first guest and switch
channels as soon as it's Homely's turn to talk.

Greta always amazes me. Her show is on fairly late, and although it is a good show, it's really not that fantastic... yet it does super in the ratings.

Move her to CNN and she goes to 0.1

Greta's show is a niche market, nothing different than BO or Hannity & Homely. I tune all three out when they venture into topics that bore me to death. TV wasn't invented to bore you, it was invented to entertain you, and when TV bores you, you find something entertaining.

You and I are in the same boat. Imagine that. LOL

If Homely is up first, I tune it out, if Hannity goes first, I stick around to see the first 5 minutes of the show, if it's compelling I stick around, if it's not, I look for the remote buried somewhere in the sofa.

Imagine that is right.
I do the exact same thing,
including the search for the remote.

Sorry guys, Jesus did NOT look like a 5-foot-tall Palestinian gunman.

Sorry, but I disagree. He probably looked worst.

Isaiah 53:2-3
He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Here at least Brit is on at a bad time when most people aren't home yet.

We've been playing a lot of cribbage and backgammon and reading a lot of books. TV Land when Dick Van Dyke is on is worthwhile :-)

Since I live alone, I have been playing those games online, either with computer players or real live players. I even play online poker (with funny money of course) online as well.

I learned the game of cribbage from my grandparents years ago, as a child, and learned how to play backgammon online. :)

I agree with some of what all of you are saying. Hannity is noting but a walking talking point (even though I agree with him about 75% of the time) and Alan Colmes IQ is probably double Hannity's.

Brit's show is BY FAR the best on cable news - the only show where you are guarenteed to get 1 hour of REAL NEWS every night. It's the only show I haven't heard Scott Peterman's name mentioned.

Lou Dobbs a conservative? Maybe compared Stalin or Mao or the other clowns at CNN!

Scarborough used to be an okay show before Pat Buchanan took over and turned it into a nothing-but-social-conservatism and religious dogma show.

As for the rest of them - LKL, pissy-chrissy, greta, olberman, zahn, cooper, tabloid shep and all the rest - who are the programming wizards who gave them a show??
