That's exactly what's eating them up. They THOUGHT he was an anomaly. Europe has absolutely no conservative media, and so they swallowed whole the "selected, not elected", "Florida stolen" bunk. And they fully expected that Americans would rise up against Bush, you know, because Michael Moore said they would (remember? young people use cell phones, and they don't get polled!).
Nov 2 (Nov 3 their time) was a monumental shock for them, as expressed by hysterical British newspapers and bawling French TV anchors.
