Wright is definitely a headcase, but he was pretty good last year. I agree he is a gamble, but so are most of the pitchers on the free agent market. Pavano strikes me as a bit more solid and he does have the post-season experience. Of course, so does Wright. The Yankees had to make some pitching changes, if only for the sake of change, after that uninspiring performance last year. Vazquez was a real disappointment, and he was tabbed as a sure thing. I'm just glad we won't have Loaiza or Contreras to kick around anymore, and hopefully Brown will join that list. I did kind of hate to see Lieber go, though. He seemed to get stronger as the year went on.
