I'll get back to you on Iceland after I've done some reading; however, given what I already know about the Norse in general (stripping away the Hollywood sensationalism), I won't be surprised if you've given an overly sunny report on the society there. Tell me, were they not joining their eastern brothers in raiding Europe's coasts?

Regarding our country, I don't think you can legitimately take a group that was half made up of ordained pastors and documents which clearly speak of the one God, and twist that into a pagan triumph. We have to share some of our credit with the deists perhaps, but not with the wiccans.

Offhand I don;t know if the Icelanders were; but if so... more power to 'em. Monastaries were loaded with stolen gold. Great targets.

Who said anything about Wiccans? I said "pagan." That includes many of the people that the Founders looked to for inspiration, guidance, and legal precedent.
