Khaddafi apparently had a brief moment of clear insight. He's right, of course. The idea of merging Moslem Turkey in with this conglomeration called the European Union is sure to cause negative repercussions throughout that weakly allied group. I predict this will actually be the death knell for any further integration and will ultimately lead to the dissolution of the EU as a concept. I expect the European hoi polloi to now refuse to cooperate with their secular leadership on this matter. All future votes (when allowed) for integration and acceptance of the EU institutions will be vehemently opposed by the average European.
