The murder of Kris Eggle (see the separate page of collected articles), a park ranger in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southern Arizona on August 9, 2002, was little noted by the media, although the press has paid considerable attention to the deaths of illegal aliens on the border. By contrast, Ranger Eggle was shot down by Mexican drug dealers who were using Organ Pipe as a route for their smuggling. Only 28 when he was murdered, Eggle was a valedictorian and an Eagle Scout who joined the National Park Service because he loved the outdoors. (Organ Pipe is considered to be the most dangerous of the national park system: 200,000 illegal aliens and 700,000 pounds of drugs were intercepted at the park in 2001.)

Here are some things the US must do:

1. Close border, institute real checkpoints all along the border with Mexico and Canada

2. Start a media blitz all over the US airways, radio, TV and newspapers, about how if you see illegals report them to the police. In addition, a campaign should be started telling businesses not to hire illegal immigrants as it hurts them (as they will be fined greatly if they do) and the fact it hurts the country as well.

3. In addition, as already mentioned, the US government should punish businesses who hire illegal immigrants

4. Start an amnesty whereas illegals and/or their employees come forward and the illegals are deported and the employers are not punished.

5. After that work to deport all illegals and punish the employers

6. There are big security dangers coming from these terrible borders and Americans will pay greatly in the future, have no doubt. You have no idea what kind of people may be coming in through that Mexico-US and Canada-US borders.

Anyone know what the deal is with I-9 forms, or what ever they are called? It is a form that employers are supposed to complete to verify proof of identity and nationality for any person taking a job. I used to hire workers at a former place of work and examining and photocopying two forms of ID and completing the form was always done there. Granted, ID can be faked, but if there was anything suspicious I would call a number at social security to verify that the number was a good one and belonged to the name on the card.

Point is: why doesn't the government start inspecting companies for I-9 compliance and then fine the snot out of those not following the rules? If it isn't financially advantageous to hire illegals then the hiring will stop and the terrorists won't have this smoke screen to hide in.

As for the border itself, hate me if you will, but I say put the Army down there and shoot any thing that crosses illegally.

Ironically,

1) the terrorists will probably come down across the Canadian border into sovereign Native American tribal land in N.Y. and proceed from there

2) The Mexicans kill Guatamalans, Costa Ricans, etc....regularly on their southern border. The Columbians are aware of this and fly in.

There is an area known as "OTM" (Other than Mexican) on our southern border where the Mexicans will be killed on their side of the border by other foreigners such as the Chicomm triad members, Middle Easterners, etc...The OTM is strictly for non-Mexican crossing. The Mexican "police" look the other way since they are well paid.
