Three years later his college band signed a recording contract as Steely Dan.

Heeeheee. That is TOO rich. Personally, I'm glad for this, since Steely Dan is one of my favorite bands, while Chevy Chase is a cockroach.

It does seem interesting though, some of the quotes in this article. Is it me, or do the other libs seem to be trying to distance themselves from Chase a little. While they're loathe to admit it, I wonder if they're a lot more shaken up about the results of 11/2 than they want to admit.

Well Neas and Lear aren't celebrities - Lear's a businessman and Neas is an attorney, I believe. They're not idiots like Chase.

They may perceive that their association with the Michael Moore wing of the Democratic Party is not helping them too much.
